The BACS SmartRail™ is used to secure long weapons. A weapon can only be checked out through use of a biometric finger print reader on the BACS IDStation™ ensuring only a qualified individual has access to the weapon. Weapons are individually locked, but still visible, and continuously verified through the use of a sensor at each weapon. Check in of weapons is accomplished by radio frequency identification or RFID located discretely in the weapon, ensuring closed loop weapon tracking.
