The BACS smartrail™ is used to secure long weapons. A weapon can only be checked out through use of a biometric finger print reader on the BACS idstation™ ensuring only a qualified individual has access to the weapon. weapons are individually locked, but still visible, and continuously verified through the use of a sensor at each weapon. check in of weapons is accomplished by radio frequency identification or rfid located discretely in the weapon, ensuring closed loop weapon tracking.
